Suspended Harmony

Concept

Decoration and architecture dissolve into one. This work erases the boundary between structure and expression, drawing guests into a space where nature seems to float above them.

装飾と建築の境界を曖昧にし、イベントに集う人々を没入空間へと誘う。 自然が宙に浮かぶような感覚の中に、人を包み込む。

Design Approach

The distinctive layered ceiling became the starting point – not a constraint, but a collaborator. We suspended cascading greens and moss from above, allowing the existing architecture to carry the weight of nature. Large paper lanterns anchor the vertical axis, while floor-level planting grounds the space. The result is a room that breathes from ceiling to floor, where the line between built and grown disappears.

特徴的な波型の天井インテリアを制約ではなく、共演者として捉えることから設計を始めた。 天井から苔や緑を垂らし、既存の建築に自然の重力を宿らせる。大型ランタンが縦軸を定め、床面の植栽が空間を地に繋ぎ止める。天井から床まで、空間全体が呼吸するような構成。作られたものと育ったものの境界が、ここでは消える。
