The Garden Continues

Concept

The windows at Sodoh do not separate inside from outside. They frame what lies beyond. This work was designed to honor that relationship — letting the garden continue into the room, and the room continue into the garden.

Design Approach

The garden visible through Sodoh’s windows was treated as part of the composition from the start. Rather than designing the floral installation as a standalone element, we extended the visual language of the exterior landscape into the interior — mirroring the density, color, and movement of the surrounding greenery. Hanging arrangements cascade downward at the threshold between inside and out, while floor-level planting anchors the space to the ground it sits on. Light entering through the windows becomes part of the work, shifting the appearance of the installation throughout the day. The goal was not decoration, but continuity.
