Draped in Expression

Concept

The bride is a fashion designer — someone who works with fabric as her primary material and language. This work was built around that fact. Textile runs through every element of the space, and flowers emerge from it as a natural extension, as if bloom and cloth were always the same thing.

Design Approach

Fabric was treated not as decoration, but as structure. Drapes flow from the ceiling across the full volume of the space, establishing the visual grammar before flowers enter the composition at all. The transition from textile to floral was designed as a gradient — cloth giving way to bloom, bloom dissolving back into cloth — so that no clear boundary exists between the two materials. Technically, the work goes beyond surface appearance. Weight distribution was carefully managed to lower the center of gravity of each hanging element, creating a subtle sense of tension and unease. And the design does not stop at the outline: the interior space within the installation was also composed, giving the decoration depth and volume from the inside out.
