From the Ground Up

Concept

Mimosa and narcissus — flowers that grow from the earth, familiar and unhurried. This work began with a quiet metaphor: the bride, like these flowers, starts small. And one day, becomes something that everyone stops to notice.

Design Approach

The installation was designed around the arc of growth itself. Table arrangements begin close to the ground — narcissus, modest and rooted. Above them, mimosa rises in volume and mass, branching outward and upward until it fills the full height of the greenhouse space. The progression from small to vast was intentional: not as spectacle, but as narrative. Guests seated at the table look up through layers of yellow bloom, experiencing the same sense of being held beneath something alive and expanding.
